This blend has been created in the style of a more traditional espresso blend to work perfectly with milk based drinks. We have combined coffees from three origins – Brazil, El Salvador & Sumatra – to produce a smooth and full bodied coffee with great depth of flavour – as espresso, you should expect intense chocolate and caramel with a touch of orange on the finish. In milk, this coffee is fantastically sweet with notes of chocolate and praline.
The Dark Arches blend currently comprises of the following coffees:
40% Brazil, Uva varietal, natural process
40% El Salvador, Bourbon varietal, washed process
20% Sumatra, Typica & P88 varietals, semi-washed ‘giling basah’ process
Please note we have enforced a price increase in line with higher green coffee prices that have come into effect due to changing currency exchange rates brought about by Brexit. For more information, please read our blog post here.
We named our house blend ‘Dark Arches’ as a nod to the Victorian subterranean space which formed the entrance to Leeds train station in the mid nineteenth century.
We are happy to say we are now able to dispatch orders on a daily basis from Monday to Friday. If your order is received before midnight, it should go out to you the next day using the Royal Mail First Class or DPD next day courier service depending on the weight of the parcel. If you place an order over the weekend, it will be packed and dispatched when the Roastery re-opens on a Monday.
If you have selected the Local Pickup option, this should be ready in our customer collection point in the North Star Coffee Shop and General Store by 5pm the day after you have placed your order. Opening hours can be viewed here along with information on parking and location. Unfortunately we cannot deliver your order to a local customer for you to collect from.
Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email to confirm it is being processed and then another one to let you know when it has been dispatched/is ready to collect.
