A classic Brazilian coffee with smooth notes of milk chocolate, roasted hazelnuts and dates. Creamy and full bodied, this is the perfect coffee for those who like a little milk in their brew.
We have worked with this area of Brazil since our inception in 2013 and have favoured it for its consistently clean and well balanced coffee which is usually selected as a base to our house blend. This year however, we have decided to release our first ever single origin Brazil in the form of the fantastic Rainha da Paz. As the largest producer of coffee in the world, Brazil has long been known for its coffee though more commonly for its commercial grade lots and focus on volume production.
This has been changing in recent years thanks to growers like Marcello who belongs to the Montanari family and is an agricultural engineer who is championing the specialty approach for their three farms in Minas Gerais. As in much of the country, harvesting on Rainha da Paz is mostly mechanical thanks to the flat lay of the land – where Marcello and his family differ is in their commitment to the environment and ecosystem surrounding their land. There are plans afoot to become a carbon neutral farm which would be a revolutionary prospect in Brazil – whilst the farm is relatively new, there is by no means a lack of experience or attention to detail whilst under the watchful management of Marcello and his brother Roger who are fourth generation coffee farmers and really working to push the boundaries of coffee production in their area.
Marcello has worked to angle the coffee trees to maximise their exposure to sunlight, there are also different varietals planted across the farm to ensure constant ripening and harvesting causing no bottle necks in the processing which all takes place on the farm. This lot is a Rubi varietal which derives from the Mundo Novo and Catuai varietals – it is known to be high yielding and resistant to disease with good sweetness and complexity in the cup.
We are proud to present to you our first ever Brazilian single origin bean which represents all that is truly great about this mammoth producer where innovation and a drive to improve quality and environmental impact is met with ability to action change.

Amazing coffee, full of depth and flavour!
We all love this particular blend. Rich in flavour but not too strong
Love this coffee! I did 15g to 250ml with 3mins of brewtime and may need to tinker a bit to get it right but love the taste! Arrived quickly and loved the packaging! Great company and have recommended to friends! Thank you so much...I'll be back when I run out!
And also in great recyclable packaging with information about the origin, all delivered really quickly.
Once you get the settings right this is by far the best coffee out there! This is the one they use in their cafe too. Smooth, sweet and full of flavour, their consistency is amazing, we have tried many Brazil Fazendas from other roasters but the compliments we get from this one are incredible everytime and best of all every cup gets better and better especially after 2-3 weeks from roast date
