It's fruity and sweet with a brown sugar sweetness. Really easy to drink as it has a lighter mouthfeel

How Does The Coffee Perform In The Cup?

The aroma is soft and sweet, with notes of dried fruit and marzipan. In the cup, gentle red fruit sits alongside a rounded caramel sweetness, while a silky body helps bring everything together. The finish leans towards milk chocolate and praline, leaving a pleasant sweetness that lingers softly after the last sip.

Why did we choose this coffee?

We chose this coffee because it combines a profile we know many people genuinely enjoy with a story we wanted to support. Through their work at Finca Churupampa, the Tocto-Bermeo family and Red Beetle Coffee Lab are helping neighbouring producers access specialty coffee markets and the opportunities that come with them. It’s the kind of long-term, collaborative thinking we believe coffee needs more of.

Who produced this coffee?

Meet the Tocto-Bermeo family of Finca Churupampa in northern Peru. After successfully establishing their own coffees within the specialty market, they expanded their work to support neighbouring producers across the region. Today, they work alongside 28 farming families, helping provide market access, technical support and greater long-term stability through coffee. Alongside exporting coffee, they also support initiatives around biodiversity, crop diversification and food security within their local communities.

Packaging

Are your coffee bags compostable?

Our 250g coffee bags are made using compostable materials designed to break down in a well-managed home compost setup.

Our 1kg bags are currently recyclable LDPE4 plastic while we continue testing larger compostable alternatives durable enough for wholesale and larger-format coffee storage.

What if I don’t have a compost bin?

You’re definitely not alone. You can return your used bags to either our Roastery or Coffee Shop and we’ll make sure they’re properly processed through our waste partners. We know there’s currently no perfect packaging solution, but we’re committed to continually improving the systems and materials we use.

Can the bags be re-used?

Definitely. The zip-lock seals make them useful for storing everything from coffee and grains to snacks, cables or the random drawer bits everyone seems to accumulate somehow.
