We've put together five of our favourite Yorkshire cycling routes, each featuring independent speciality coffee shops that make the perfect place to refuel. 1. Wharfedale & Otley Loop

Distance: 10–12 miles

Difficulty: Easy

Perfect for a relaxed morning ride or an easy recovery spin, this scenic loop follows the beautiful Wharfe Valley, taking in riverside roads, charming villages and four fantastic coffee stops.

  3. Bloomfield Square – Otley

  4. Moss & Moor – Ilkley (Finish)

This route is mostly flat with a few gentle rolling sections, making it ideal for newer cyclists or anyone wanting plenty of café time without too many miles.

2. Guiseley, Horsforth & Farsley Coffee Ride

Distance: 12–15 miles

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

If you enjoy discovering independent cafés as much as riding your bike, this route links together some of West Yorkshire's best coffee spots. Expect rolling suburban roads, manageable climbs and plenty of opportunities to stop for excellent coffee.

3. Saltaire to Haworth Adventure

Distance: 25–30 miles

Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging

Looking for something a little more adventurous? This longer ride combines peaceful canal paths, classic Yorkshire villages and rewarding climbs around Haworth before finishing in Halifax.

4. Northern Dales & Settle Adventure

Distance: 35–40 miles

Difficulty: Challenging

If you love climbing and spectacular scenery, this Yorkshire Dales ride delivers both. Expect long ascents, quiet roads and incredible views before rewarding yourself with great coffee in the historic market town of Settle.

  3. High Street Coffee Shop – Settle

For riders wanting to extend the adventure, return via Bolton Abbey, Burnsall or Grassington for some of the finest scenery in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

This is a true all-day ride and one for cyclists looking to challenge themselves.

5. The Big Wharfedale Coffee Loop

Distance: 40–45 miles

Difficulty: Challenging

If your perfect ride involves as much coffee as cycling, this is the ultimate Yorkshire café ride. Linking together nine independent coffee shops across Wharfedale, Leeds and Aire Valley, it's a fantastic full-day adventure with rolling roads, beautiful scenery and plenty of opportunities to refuel.
