Great coffee should be good for everyone involved.

If you’re trying to build a hospitality space people genuinely enjoy spending time in, coffee plays a bigger role than most people realise.

The right setup helps mornings run smoother, teams feel more confident and customers come back more often. And when the coffee behind it is built around long-term relationships and better sourcing practices, it helps create more value throughout the supply chain too.

From specialty coffee shops and bakeries to restaurants, hotels and offices, North Star helps hospitality spaces serve coffee that feels approachable, reliable and worth returning for.

Getting started is simple.

Conversation → Coffee Tasting → Setup & Training → Ongoing Support

Train at the North Star Coffee Academy

The North Star Academy was built to help hospitality teams feel calmer, more confident and more consistent behind the bar without coffee becoming overly technical or intimidating.

From espresso dial-in and workflow support to latte art, brewing and sensory sessions, training is shaped around the realities of busy hospitality spaces and real customer service.

Training includes:

  • Barista training
  • Espresso science
  • Milk steaming
  • Drink building
  • Filter brewing
  • Latte art
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Train the trainer
  • Soft skills
  • Customer experience
  • SCA barista skills
  • SCA sensory skills
  • Coffee cuppings and tastings
  • How to start a coffee shop
  • Leadership in coffee
  • Develop your own blend

The coffee you choose to serve shapes more than what ends up in the cup.

Coffee supports millions of people around the world, but climate pressure, unstable pricing and rising costs are making it harder for many producers to continue building secure futures in the industry.

At the same time, hospitality businesses are being asked to deliver better quality and better experiences under growing pressure themselves.

Choosing coffee built around quality, transparency and long-term relationships helps more value reach the people growing it in the first place, while also giving customers something they feel more connected to and genuinely want to come back for.

That can mean:

  • producers gaining more long-term stability
  • hospitality teams feeling proud of what they’re serving
  • customers understanding quality more clearly
  • stronger loyalty around the businesses serving it

Because great coffee can do more than taste good. It can help more people build something that lasts
