A classic Brazilian coffee with smooth notes of milk chocolate, roasted hazelnuts and dates. Creamy and full bodied, this is the perfect coffee for those who like a little milk in their brew.
We have worked with this area of Brazil since our inception in 2013 and have favoured it for its consistently clean and well balanced coffee which is usually selected as a base to our house blend. This year however, we have decided to release our first ever single origin Brazil in the form of the fantastic Rainha da Paz. As the largest producer of coffee in the world, Brazil has long been known for its coffee though more commonly for its commercial grade lots and focus on volume production.
This has been changing in recent years thanks to growers like Marcello who belongs to the Montanari family and is an agricultural engineer who is championing the specialty approach for their three farms in Minas Gerais. As in much of the country, harvesting on Rainha da Paz is mostly mechanical thanks to the flat lay of the land – where Marcello and his family differ is in their commitment to the environment and ecosystem surrounding their land. There are plans afoot to become a carbon neutral farm which would be a revolutionary prospect in Brazil – whilst the farm is relatively new, there is by no means a lack of experience or attention to detail whilst under the watchful management of Marcello and his brother Roger who are fourth generation coffee farmers and really working to push the boundaries of coffee production in their area.
If you love this coffee, then this is the subscription for you – simply select how much you want to receive and how frequently you want to receive it 🙂
I have signed up to a subscription with you, when will it be sent out?
Great news! Thanks so much we are excited to have you on board! Your order is now on our system and is usually dispatched between 1-3 working days of us having received it depending on how busy we are! We work so hard to get your order out to you as soon as we possibly can and it will be sent with the Royal Mail 1st Class service.
Are your packages letterbox friendly?
Not currently, we are working on it! There is no signature required for the coffee so if you are not going to be in to receive it, please just include a note for where you would like it leaving and we can include this in our shipping instructions. We know how annoying it is to have to go to the depot to pick up and are working to get a more letterbox friendly option together as soon as we can.
I need to change my address details..
Sure thing! Just drop us a line to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will sort that for you 🙂
Local pickups take place from the Roastery on Tong Road. Please note our shutter doors will be down for security and temperature reasons but we are always in Monday-Friday between 9 and 5pm – just ring the doorbell on arrival. We are offering free shipping for orders above £20 🙂
Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email to confirm it is being processed and then another one to let you know when it has been dispatched. We are currently operating with a 2-3 working day lead time to process your order once you have placed it. If you have ordered a Nova Bakehouse cookie kit, this will be posted on the next available Tuesday along with any other items you have ordered.
Honestly the best coffee I’ve ever used, I use it to make lattes with my barista machine at home and it’s perfect. I’ve tried most of North Star’s offering but I think this ones my favourite! Love it.
So glad I decided to go with a subscription for these beans. Whether you choose to pick up or get your coffee beans delivered they’re always ready when you need them and freshly roasted every single time.
I’d highly recommend getting a subscription with North Star Roasters if you like their coffee. That way you can be assured you’ll never run out of your favourite brew!
We work directly with growers we know and trust to source specialty grade coffee from farms that promote agroforestry techniques and social responsibility to not just sustain, but to improve how things work.Find out more
