So that’s it! We have nearly made it to the end of this year and boy what a year it has been! Your support for what we do has absolutely flabbergasted us and we cannot begin to thank you enough for getting us through a truly trialling 2020!
Our online shop has experienced unbelievable growth this year thanks to the upsurge of people discovering specialty coffee at home, a move that will be hugely beneficial for the industry and one we are super excited about for 2021.
As you probably know, there are many other small independent businesses experiencing a similar surge in their e-commerce sales and whilst we have a team in place that can absolutely keep up with the volume, unfortunately the overall national impact this has had on the Royal Mail is making the delivery part of the process very challenging. We are being inundated with emails requesting updates on orders placed at the start of December which have still not arrived and unfortunately, there is very little we can do to progress an investigation into the whereabouts of a parcel when it is still waiting to be processed by our local depot.
We absolutely hate feeling like we have let people down and whilst we have no control over your order once it leaves the Roastery, we can’t help but feel responsible for you running out of coffee! For this reason, as much as it pains us to do so, we are going to close our online shop this Wednesday 16th December to leave us adequate time to process the orders we have received and get them out with the Royal Mail so that they *hopefully* arrive with you or the intended recipient in time for Christmas (though we are sadly unable to guarantee this).
We will open the online shop up again at the end of December and these orders will be processed when the team are back in the Roastery on the 4th January. This will mean we will have a slight backlog of orders to get through but we want to assure you we will work as hard as we can to run them down as quickly as possible, keeping to our 2-3 working day lead time.
If you have left your gift buying a little late for your closest coffee loving pal, DO NOT FEAR! We have our virtual course still available that we can continue to process right up until the 23rd December:
Interactive Coffee Course – this one of a kind virtual course is the perfect option for any coffee lover of any level of experience. It can be completed in the comfort of your own home and started at any point, once you have purchased it you have the content for life 🙂 The course is made up of 8 chapters and parts 1-4 can be started at any point, it comes with a practical resource box which the recipient will need for chapter 5 but we can send this in January.
Last date to order for postage and collection in December: Wednesday 16th December
Last date for collections from the Roastery: Wednesday 23rd December
Last date for orders of virtual gifts: Wednesday 23rd December
Everything else will be processed when we return in January.
Merry Christmas everyone and thanks again for your unbelievable support! NS x
